I know that everyone has a preference when it comes to ordering cakes for special occasions and it just so happens that my family’s favorite are the cakes from Publix Supermarkets.
I on the other hand like all kind of cakes, rum cakes, bunt cakes, etc. but I will not turn away from Publix special order cakes.
Publix cakes have been present in every stage of my kids lives and special family occasions such as my mom’s 91st birthday celebration. It was the last time we celebrated her birthday and Publix bakery did such a great job on her cake which you will see below once you scroll down.
Placing a special order at Publix is easy, you browse through their sometimes falling apart cake design book (sorry Publix), after you choose the design you fill the order form and make sure that you specify the flavor of the cake and icing as well as the time and date of pick up.
Publix Supermarkets designs are somewhat restricted specially if you want the cakes decorated with a theme that has a trademark for which the store may require an authorization form. Overall, the cake decorators will work with you in your design and decorations.
My kids, husband and extended family members have always preferred Publix cakes to some of my other choices. When ever I invite my closest family members for cake they always ask if the cake is from Publix bakery.
My family loves the flavor, the texture and of course the buttercream icing of Publix cakes. I am not a gambler (no offense to gamblers out there) but I am willing to bet that the reason Publix cakes are popular is due to the buttercream icing they use for decorating. As a buyer I can rest assure that eill not break my piggy bank buying a Publix cake compare to some of Miami’s too bakeries that overcharge for their creations. I think the most I have spent on a Publix cake in on time and as $70.00 on a three (3) tier cake.
Overall I’ve had a great experience with my cake orders through the years.
There was somewhat of a friendly debate with my family a few years back because I had read that Publix cakes were not made from scratch at the Store but rather came frozen and undecorated. I have no idea how the cakes are so moist if they arrive frozen.
We all agree that Publix cakes taste great, taste fresh and look beautiful.
and the most recent one for my son’s 22nd birthday
These are just a few of the special order cakes I have placed throughout my family’s milestones and celebrations. As you can tell Publix Cakes are present every year in my family’s life.
